Nash County Realignment Statement | Contingency Plan
In November of 2016, Nash County unanimously voted to leave Eastpointe and align with Trillium Health Resources. Under N.C. General Statue 122C-115(a3)—under which any county has the sovereign right to align with the MCO of its choice - former NC DHHS Secretary Brajer approved the realignment request from the Nash County board, and set the realignment date for April 1, 2017.
In order for Trillium to officially begin providing services, a contract must be finalized between the State of North Carolina and Trillium, in addition to the State and Eastpointe. As of March 15, the contracts have yet to be signed.
Due to this delay, Trillium is unable to begin providing services until the contract is formally completed by all parties. Trillium is poised to begin providing services immediately upon completion of the contract and the new effective date provided by the State is July 1, 2017.
Trillium continues to look forward to serving the residents of Nash County.
