To Host Inaugural SMVF Network Summit
DMH/DD/SUS is proud to partner with the North Carolina Governor's Working Group and the Governor's Institute to host a full-day summit to discuss issues related to mental health and substance use services for North Carolina Service Members, Veterans, and Families (SMVF).
This event brings together key leaders and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration on SMVF issues. Join us to discuss innovative solutions and policy approaches that can enhance services for service members, veterans, and their families.
The summit includes panel discussions, workshops, vendors, and networking time. Workshop sessions will focus on actionable strategies and best practices that can be implemented to improve services and outcomes:
- Implementing Best Practices in Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment for Veterans
- Innovative Approaches to Enhancing Family Support for SMVF
- Targeted Solutions for SMVF Challenges
- Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
Panelists from diverse backgrounds will discuss collaborative strategies to support the North Carolina veteran community and their families, focusing on enhancing services. Confirmed panelists include representatives from NCDHHS Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services, the Raleigh Police Department, NC National Guard, Wounded Warrior Project, and others.
