The Healing Place of New Hanover County
The Healing Place of New Hanover County brings long-term residential services to fill in a gap in our region. The Healing Place of New Hanover County provides underserved adults who live with substance use disorders with a program to restore them to a healthy life through a variety of services. Trillium has partnered with New Hanover County in the development of the new Healing Place of New Hanover County, located in Wilmington, providing 200 beds: 100 for men and 100 for women.
The Healing Place of New Hanover County incorporates principles from The Healing Place model that was pioneered in Kentucky and has expanded across Kentucky and into other states. The Healing Place model has shown impressive outcomes, which are detailed in this infographic.
